Food styling & recipe writing for Big Green Egg
The Big Green Egg barbecue is wanted by chefs and barbiephilics, who are willing to spend some serious time behind their dome. The Big Green Egg book 2013 is a Dutch initiative from EU-importer Wessel Buddingh (www.biggreenegg.eu). The book is divided in a collection of recipes from Dutch chefs (from famous to revolutionary new comers) and closer-to-home recipes – written, cooked and styled by me. Grilling fish, roasting meat. But also smoking potatoes and lobster, pizza and pie baking, making chapatis using the Egg as a tandoor oven.
In addition, I have done the culinary editing for the chef’s recipes to make understandable and feasible what these culinary masterminds have brewed in their never sleeping minds.
The Big Green Egg book was photographed by award-winning Dutch food photographer Remko Kraaijeveld (www.remkokraaijeveld.nl), designed by Ronald Timmermans (who also designed the books De Oosterscheldekreeft, PUURST and WILD), the stories and interviews are written by journalist and writer Dirk Koppes.
